Teen Court Dates

Court is every 3rd Thursday of every month at the Kankakee County Courthouse.

* Teen Court is close to the general public. You must be a teen volunteer who has gone through training to attend.

Teen Court prohibits chewing gum, use of tobacco, use of obscene language, and food or drink while on court property. Cell phones and pagers are not allowed in the court house.

Court is a formal, serious place demanding respect.
The following dress code will be observed by all participants.

NO GANG COLORS/PARAPHERNALIA
JEANS MUST BE NEAT AND CLEAN
SHIRTS NEATLY TUCKED IN
NO TANK TOPS
NO SHORTS
NO HATS

Teen Court reserves the right to refuse to hear cases from those who fail to abide by the above dress code. Also, Teen Court will refuse jury duty to those who fail to adhere to the dress code.

Board Meetings

The teen court Board of Directors is composed of up to 20 adults and 10 teen members.

Regular board meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every Odd month and held in the basement of the National City (PNC) building at 5:30pm.
